Welcome to my class – March 11,2020. I am away at a medical appointment but I know my students will be amazing for you!!!! You are going to have a little fun with Go Noodle. It’s ok if you can’t do all the moves. If you can do the arms that’s great. If you can do the legs, that’s great. Remember to mirror the video. Have fun.

I have a guest teacher in today. Here is my plan for them.
Hi my little friends,
I have a very special job for you today. Mr. Gauthier is going to let you listen to a beautiful piece of music called “Clair de Lune” and these are your missions…
- Moving to Clair de Lune -“Clair de Lune” means “Moonlight”. Does everyone have a scarf? Begin the song in your own space and show the music with the scarf. When you hear the finger cymbals, you are allowed to move around the room showing the music with the scarf in a different way. When you hear the Ocean Drum, freeze and let your scarf show the music again while you are standing still. Listen carefully for the finger cymbals to move and the ocean drum to stand still. Mr. Gauthier might try to trick you OR he might pick you to play. Please do your best. Remember to match the music.
- Describing how you moved to “Clair de Lune” – Was it smooth or bumpy? Was it fast or slow? Was it gentle or scary? What instrument did you hear playing? Were all the sounds high or low or both? DId it make you feel happy?grumpy?relaxed? Did you feel like you were flying? DId the music feel like it was standing still or was it moving? Was the moonlight touching the land or water? What colors did you see in your mind when you were moving?
- Drawing to “CLair de Lune” – Are you in small groups? Super. Each station has a different kind of marker, crayon. pencil. When the music begins, draw what you feel. It could be colors, moonlight, people at night time, a city at night time, in the country at night time, over water, over land. It could be squiggles in designs that you hear. High or low, fast or slow. When the music is paused, you move to the next station. Remember to match the music. When the music is through, your team will get some crayons. CHose 3 crayons and add color to your work of art. Do your very best. I would like to put them on this blog to show your Moms and Dads.
I had to add this one as well. This snow globe is so cute.
I have my post concert season cold and I can’t go to work tomorrow. Here is what I have planned for my non-specialist guest teacher. The students will draw a snowglobe and decorate it for their teachers. An impromptu Christmas Card!!!!
My students really enjoy this drawing tutorial at this time of year.
These two videos are always a hit with my classes:
I may do this one the day after Halloween!!!! (Insert smiley emoji here.)
My grade 2’s and 3’s really enjoyed these little clips. We did Andrew Huang, Walk off the Earth, The Epic Patty Cake Song, Jimmy Fallon and the Pentatonix
